The first thing i noticed when it arrived was that it was covered with dust. It was not an easy clean up. All the cutouts in the wood looked dirty. The gate was slightly heavier than expected so that was a plus, but one panel is not flush with the floor so it wobbles. Not happy with that either. Overall it does prevent my small dog from going up the stairs so i am reluctantly keeping it.

No matter how short you expect it to be, it’s gonna be shorter. Just feels like the photos kinda misrepresented the size

Don’t let the product picture fool you, the fence is for small dogs only. my medium size dogs can step over the fence. But for small dogs it’s great.

My dog likes to sneak into rooms where she doesn’t belong sometimes and is not above having accidents there. This gate is perfect for keeping her where she belongs. Given her age and size, all that is required for her is a visual barrier – she will not work hard to knock the fence over or get past it. The appearance of the gate is very nice – sleek and classy and works with the decor in our home.

We use this on our deck to keep our toddler from going up the stairs. It’s low enough or bigger dog can jump right over it which is actually perfectly fine for our use. I night Velcro ties with it to attach it to the deck. It spent the entire summer outside and in general is still in pretty good shape though the wood/paint is starting to warp a bit.

I needed a second gate so have bought 2 of these. In both cases I had to replace the hinges because they are loose and wobbly. Once the hinges are replaced it is a very nice gate, but it irks me to have to pay extra because of the crappy quality of those hinges!

I have used this successfully to keep my young dog confined to front porch or deck. It’s sturdy and she doesn’t try to escape.

We purchased this gate to keep the cat from scratching on our door EVERY morning! It’s very sturdy and he cannot knock it over. Well worth the price! Of course he can jump over it so we ended up putting it right in front of the door.
