We picked this up for when we have extra family come over or if we are going to stay somewhere overnight. We have used it about 10 times so far and it’s reliably inflated every time. The extra tall version does take a little while to setup and deflate but I think it’s worthwhile. Comfort wise, it’s decent but it isn’t an innerspring or foam mattress. You can definitely get by for a night or two but this is not a long term alternative to an actual bed. If you have two people on the mattress and you sleep next to each other, you’ll sink way down into it, but that’s common to any mattress.
Overall, it’s pretty good. A topper might be a nice touch if you need to use it more than a night here or there. We haven’t had any issues with leaks or durability, but it does stretch the first few times you use it so expect some relaxation and having to top it off. For $80, it’s a great buy and it’s like 1/2 or 1/4 the cost of a decent hotel room so use it once and it’ll pay for itself!

My partner and I have had this air mattress for guests for a couple of years. They’ve never had a problem with it for overnight use, and it’s a great height. They’ve enjoyed it as much as anyone could enjoy an air mattress. Its real test, however, has come when I contracted COVID just in time for everyone to have forgotten about it. We live in a one-bedroom apartment so I have taken to the air mattress in the living room until I’m no longer contagious. I was worried about having to inflate it in the night but I have been shocked. Forget worrying about having to re-inflate it in the middle of the night; I have spent the better part of 4 days in this bed and have only had to briefly top it up twice, just for a few seconds each time. The clincher, I am 6’4 and 300 pounds. Let me be clear—I’m very much looking forward to being rid of COVID and sleeping in my own bed again, but this air mattress has been a surprisingly comfortable substitute in the meantime. I can’t endorse it enough.

Updated review: I contacted Intex customer service through their website, and they promptly sent me a new air mattress. It was under warranty for one year. 🙂
Original review: I loved this so much! Great price, firm, high off the ground, easy to blow up, convenient cord and bag storage. But after two guests sleeping on it, it no longer holds air. 😭 I can’t figure out where we went wrong. We were really careful with it. My return window passed last month, so I guess I’m out of luck. I’m really disappointed because it was so great at first!

Sooo I received this mattress just 2 days shy of a month ago. I blew it up that day (Sept 9th) and it has been in use everyday since & today is Oct 7th.
I filled it up that 1st day and since then I have only had to put a little bit of air back in it twice i think and only then because it lost a bit of the preferred firmness.
I’ve owned one of these beds before which is the reason I purchased it again and I am equally satisfied with this one. It’s is soooo comfortable, easy to set up, & based off of my experience alone it can be used pretty long term if needed. It didn’t have any weird smells when I opened it up and it also came with a pretty handy carry bag for you to store it in when you’re done with it.
Overall, not one complaint for month 1 😁

We used this while camping six days at a music festival and my biggest pet peeve is an air mattress that deflates. I actually invested in this even though it was pricey, because it never loses air! Worth the cost and we slept like babies. BE WARNED it’s HUGE HUGE HUGE. Could barely fit it through my tent door 🙂

I have bulging disks in my neck and back and I sleep great on these. Make sure to keep them pumped up nice and firm. We got the queen size but you need king sheets for them. We used these on our vacation trip, in the tent and it was better than any of the air bnb’s we stayed at. I will stay in a tent with no AC in the dead of summer in Florida, rather than pay the air bnb prices again and be disappointed with the beds and filth and pricing. We just slept with sheets only 😂 these are awesome though! We also used them for beach camping trips and some marathon runs we camped out for. Everyone sleeps well and so easy and fast to inflate. We are using them again soon! So fun! Make tent camping enjoyable!!! With gas prices and storage fees for the big toy hauler we prefer to take the easy tent with air beds 🤣

I really like this bed. However, the edge tubing around the mattress does not stay as firm as the main part of the bed.
I also was not pleased that my box had apparently been open and was taped shut with two strips of clear packing tape. I thought this was supposed to come directly from the manufacturer.
The package was supposed to be delivered between 5:00 and 10:00 p.m. the day I ordered. It was not delivered the day ordered or the next day. It finally showed up on the third day. Very disappointed in delivery service. It was two nights of sleeping on the floor I did not expect based on the projected delivery.

I have been sleeping on air mattresses for about 5 years now. Yes, every night. The reason is that I cannot afford a decent new mattress and before switching to an air mattress, I had used mattresses. Most developed “sink holes” and those who sleep on an older mattress know what I mean – a spring or something inside has shifted and that spot…well, it’s a dip that you have to figure out how to avoid when sleeping. But the basic reason is because I am an older lady that lives alone and when I have moved, I have moved myself so as not to bother people. I have mostly flat pack furniture so I can break it down and move it myself. Having an air mattress fits right in with that ease of moving my own stuff. The IDOO I had was a great deal, though I had last had a King Coil 22″ that I really liked EXCEPT for their “pillow” area (the part at the head is inclined and that bothered me since I am an “arm sleeper” – put one arm up under my pillow, under my head and hang it off the bed). Other than that part King Coil is a great air mattress bed. Now for this Intex – I have had a couple of different Intex items and find they make quality stuff – first was a smaller, rectangular pool that wasn’t too hard to set up (but I did need a friend to help with putting it up) and I currently have their inflatable loveseat that unfolds to become a bed. It’s a nice extra piece of furniture/bed, but wish it had the internal pump which it doesn’t. Still, it is a serviceable spare seating and sleeping piece that can be put up quickly enough. NOW, for this bed – back to my 22″ height and I am SO HAPPY with that part of it. When you are older, getting UP off something is harder than scooting down off that same thing! Meaning that I have no problem getting on a bed (no matter what the height), but in the morning, when I’m groggy and not 100%, trying to push myself up off the 18″ wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t fun at all. With this Intex 22″ queen, my feet dangle just a bit off the floor and pushing myself off and DOWN is just so much easier. I was also relieved that the pump is at the top (or could be the bottom, depending on how you orient the bed) as my outlet is at that spot on the wall behind the bed. The IDOO had the pump on the side so the cord had to be put up under the bed…I didn’t like that. This Intex, like all the air mattresses with an internal pump, it inflates (and deflates) very quickly. Around 5 minutes. What’s easy is taking down an air mattress – most of them come with a carry case as this one did – and if you flip the sides in, then do a fourths fold up, it will fit in the bag and isn’t too terribly heavy even for me to carry. The IDOO developed a leak and instead of trying to patch it, as I have slept on it for about 2 years, I deflated it, put it in the bag it came with and threw it away. This Intex, I had it out of the box an fully inflated in less than 10 minutes. Made the bed and laid down on it – aaahhhh! So, if you are in need of a spare bed for overnight guests on occasion OR you have had it with your lumpy old “regular” mattress and having sticker shock over the memory foam, purple, pillow top and other replacements, you might want to try an air mattress. Even if you only use it long enough to save enough money for one of those $500-$1000 mattress, this $75 mattress will allow you to sleep well, night after night after night.

I bought this air mattress less than a year ago based on recommendations from a friend and was pleased with quality/ease of use until after the 5th or 6th use – the air would slowly leak out throughout the night to end up with a 50% inflated mattress in the morning.
I haven’t yet reached out to customer service so we’ll see how that goes.
Edit – my mattress was still within the 1 year warranty (warranty varies on specific product) and I was able to get a replacement sent for free. The online portal to file a claim was not the easiest to use, but calling customer service to help was very quick and easy.
Assuming the replacement mattress does not have the same issue, I changed my review to be more stars

The additional eighth makes all the difference when trying to get up out of the bed. This was my #1 reason for purchasing it. #2 reason was that the top portion did not have pocket circles like the others I have tried. #3 was the color. The dark grey doesn’t stand out like the lighter colored air mattresses do.
One thing that they all have in common but is easy to remedy is that the air attracts the cold, especially when you have tile flooring.. Even in our 120 degree summers.. And a cold air mattress can cause back pain and stiffness. This has an easy fix though. I placed a wool rug between the mattress and the tile floor. then layered my wool blanket and all the other extra blankets I had in the closet. Then I used a size up cotton duvet cover as my sheet. An easier way would be to just buy a 3 inch mattress topper but I didn’t see the need to spend that money when I had a closet full of unused blankets.
I am sleeping on this air mattress in place of the regular mattress I used to have. It was 20 years old and broken down so much it bothered my back. It does loose a little bit of air each day but that is probably because of my weight factor. I just click it on for about a minute before I go to bed and it is fine. It actually has the feel of a water bed which I like much better than that hard airbed feeling the other air mattress provided. and with the blankets, it’s a very cozy bed.
I was going to use this air mattress till I could decide on a regular mattress.. with all the mattress options it makes you worried you’ll buy the wrong one. This air mattress was a quick and inexpensive remedy until I could make a decision. BUT… Now, I’m not in any hurry to spend thousands on a regular mattress when this is just as comfortable for sleeping. I’m going to get a platform frame and stick with this air mattress and see how long it lasts.. I’m hoping a very long time.

Basically a premium queen bed but with air. It came in a small package which I really appreciate because I hate throwing away big boxes. It came with an adapter for air insertion at the rear which is convenient in my case because I can bring this one around to my friends’ home for sleepover after party. It would take around 10 minutes for a base queen bed, 15 minutes for a soft base of air and 20 minutes for full air. I have been using it as my night saver. No back hurt feelings or anything since I used.

The air mattress offers great convenience with its rapid inflation and deflation, effortless storage that doesn’t occupy significant space, and a cozy sleeping surface. It proves to be an ideal choice for hosting guests, making it easy to provide a comfortable sleeping arrangement for friends and family during their visits.
