I’ve had several Leatherman brand multitools over the years and have always been very satisfied! (usually lost them rather than them breaking) The Leatherman Rebar was the right fit for what I need as a mechanic. This SOG took is in the same price point as the Rebar so I thought I’d try something different this time. I love being able to open the knife and all the other tools without spreading open the pliers like on the Rebar. Also it has great gripping force when using the pliers. But you have to open your hand twice as far to get the jaws of the tool to open and that is a pain for me, and if the jaws slip off what you’re gripping the tool pinches my thumb really easily. Also, right out of the box the knife felt dull and wouldn’t easily cut anything..worst knife I’ve ever had on a multitool. And it doesn’t come with a sheath either. The rest was sufficient, but I’ll be going back to a Leatherman soon

This is my second SOG multi tool and it is clearly made more cheaply. The rivets used at the joints are smaller and thinner. And it appears to be a little more flimsy.
That being said the price is good for this product and it does it’s job… I would recommend it for light use.

I’m very happy with my SOG purchase of this multi-tool. I love the size and the design is really well thought out. It seems to be very sturdy and has a locking mechanism that is great for safety. I would suggest buying the bit set that fits this multi-tool. I think it is a worthwhile extra purchase that will make this tool even better. I would highly recommend purchasing this and I’m going to look into any other products that SOG has for sale on Amazon.

Lástima que no trae el estuche, antes tuve otro modelo y ese sí lo traía. Y el embalaje es demasiado grande para tan pequeña herramienta, y al ser tan grande uno piensa que sí viene con el estuche. Pero es muy buena herramienta, se bloquea perfecto. A veces se viene el destornillador con la hoja pero es cuestión de volverlo a poner en su lugar y seguir sacando la hoja.

I love the product currently it’s good quality and very useful while working in a indoor shooting range. The clip is strong and durable as well. The only this is don’t think it is a set of needle nose pliers that are heavy duty, it works great for pulling out stuck casing cutting rope righting screws. Overall it’s a solid product.

Just bought this product to replace my first SOG multi tool I lost. Had the thing for over ten years and I’m hoping to have this one for longer. Love the upgrades including the locking option and the ability to access the tools without opening the pliers every time.

Like the access to tools without opening the device. Happy with the locking feature. There’s always a trade off, it does feel rough to the hands at first. For the value I’m happy.

The movement is nice and smooth when opening and closing. Light, versatile, locking. Will likely last forever doing lightweight work, I might choose another tool if doing something heavy as it doesn’t seem sturdiest (maybe it is?).

I’m a maintenance technician and use this constantly. Unfortunately the bit holder does not stay in the sheath very well at all and I lost my bit set 2 days after buying the multi tool

I do very light duty technician work. I’ve had this tool for a little more than a month, since I lost my Gerber I decided to try something different. Worst decision ever going with this brand. SUPER flimsy and cheap feeling, cutters work for about 5 cuts on thin gauge wire, broke the flathead bit AND the thin poke tool clean off week 2, and now I find that one of the screws holding the thing together has fallen out completely. Honestly wish I’d just bought another gerber since they have actual build quality. Get this Chinese quality toy out of my face. SOG is trash.

At first impression, it maybe looks small, but as someone that already own couple of the “ordinary” multitools,
I use this one for smaller works and it’s still very powerful for it’s size thanks to it’s unique plier system. Excellent scissors and wine cork screw.
I use it as a key chain (as a pocket secondary tool).

This is the second one I’ve owned the first one was a user error and put all my weight on it and it broke but believe me it took alot if force, I loved it so much I had to get another, at first the tools are hard to get out till it wears in but, everything on this tool is practical and works beyond what I thought it would for it’s size, I don’t think you will be disappointed for the price at all

Surprisingly, for being an import multitool, I was very pleased with this purchase. Very nice multi tool, can’t go wrong for the price!Having a bit set is a game changer when it comes to fixing something on the fly. The only thing id like to see added would be a pair of scissors

The tool itself is great! Solid and sharp. The only complaint if any would be the sheath. Overall it’s great except for the part that holds the bits. I feel like it could slip through and fall out. It hasn’t fallen out yet but I have found it sticking out and I put it back.
